G-Free is for Me!

For the past year and a half I have had these crazy stomach aches. Even with medications, exercises and other random tactics, they would just never stop. My doctor finally got serious with me and through some different tests we concluded that I have Celiac Disease and should eat gluten free. It was a huge blessing to put a name on my problem!

I have now been g-free for about a month. And I have felt so much better! Its crazy! Oh, how I wish we would have thought of this long ago. For those of you who don't know, g-free means a diet free of wheat, barley and rye. So I began to explore different brands and recipes to replace some of my favorite foods and snacks. I was very pleased when these chocolate peanut butter cookies came out tasting just like my favorite cookies (if not better!).

I'm so thankful to know a name for my pains and to know that there are endless options to be g-free. I had prayed many times for an answer for my health but I never guessed it would be something as easy as changing my diet! I suppose that sometimes the Lord has answers for us that are simpler than we make it. Often, I search and search for what He wants for my life when all I have to do is sit back and allow Him to show me what the answer is.

Philippians 4:6 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

Time to learn a lesson from my health and follow the truth in this verse! Don't be anxious - just pray!
